The newly created Ray of Hope Foundation in Maumelle announced this week that the family of Brett Barham has been selected as the first recipients of the foundation, which hopes to raise money to support families such as the Barhams, who lost their husband, father and sole provider earlier this year.

The extension of a U.S. Department of Labor Disaster Workforce Grant will keep temporary cleanup workers in Madison County on the job for another six months.
